THE FIXX

Mohegan Sun Wolf Den

After a few days off from touring, The Fixx, one of the 80’s most influential bands played the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den the night of October 21st. There was standing room only with all original members. Cy, Rupert, Jamie, Gary and Adam. All were pleasant and humble chaps upon meeting, gracing fans with autographs after the show.

Getting back to the show, being an 80’s fanatic, I was enthralled. They started off their set with new material with such songs as “Touch” and “Are you Satisfied” telling the audience maybe you are maybe your not, I’ll ask you after the show. Cy’s voice was better than it was 20 years ago. He sang with ease, mouth hardly open and he looked wonderful. The moment came “Secret Separation” dedicated to all the lovers in the audience, participating in the chorus. More new stuff into a grand slam ending with “Stand or Fall” “One Thing Leads to Another” “Deeper and Deeper” Red Skies at Night and last but not least, “Saved by Zero”

For those of you still needing a FIXX, they are doing more recording in the studio and you can get their newest CD “Want That Life”. Check it out. The answer to Cy’s question: Was I satisfied, YES!!
