Warrant Mohegan Sun Casino Rather than rocken around the Christmas tree, I was rocken
out with Warrant. One of the most popular bands of the 80’s made their way to
the North East once again. The band had founding members Erik Turner, Jerry
Dixon, Joey Allen, and Steven Sweet. There was one major change to the Down
Boy’s, the new addition on vocals, Jamie St James from the band “Black and
Blue,” which also collaborated with their latest CD “Born Again.” With a
devil sporting a bottle of Jack makes it very clear they were not born again
Christians but making a comeback and that they did. The Wolf Den was packed with hair band fans and who
were receptive to the newly transformed Warrant. After speaking with St James
backstage, he said: I’m glad to be part
of the band, we are more like
brothers than a band, and we get along great! Jamie was loaded with
personality and then joined by Jerry Dixon who had a few words to share with
the fans giving a big hello and saying to check out their latest CD because
it’s pure 80’s and kicks ass. The interview was short but I was very
welcomed, time was running out, and I didn’t wish to intrude on them warming
up. The band immediately got off to a great start with
“Down Boys”, “Sure Feels Good” and more well known songs. During “Heaven” one
of the roadies actually proposed to his fiancé and danced to the song….she
said yes by the way after the crowd yelled: don’t do it!! They went into a new song off the latest CD which
is my favorite called “Dirty Jack” which sounds a bit like “Uncle Toms
Cabin”, they sang that as well too but no Black and Blue songs to report. It was a great evening with a great band but not too
great to greet each of their fans after the show to sign autographs. My only
gripe…What took you guys so long to
